My family and I travelled to Crows Nest to collect my artwork from the 'Acquisitive Painting Prize Competition'. We had a lovely weekend...Saturday we visited
'Crestbrook' dam and tried our luck at fishing. Sunday morning we went bushwalking through
'Crows Nest National Park'. Beautifull place....looking forward to visiting during the summer months for a cool swim.
Today (Monday 3/8) I received a phone call from 'Crows Nest Regional Gallery.
I was awarded the 'People's Choice' for my entry...'What's on the Other Side'. Unbelieveable! Thank you so much...it certainly is a very special award to receive. What a fantastic weekend it was!
My husband and I, and our good friend Shawn, attended the 'opening' at Crows Nest last night. The gallery space is too small, so the serving of refreshments and the announcement of the winners is done at the RSL, which is right across the road. No luck with my entry....never mind....maybe I might be lucky with the 'people's choice'. The exhibition runs until August the 2nd.

This is my entry for this coming weekends 'Crows Nest Regional Gallery' Acquisitive Art Prize competition. First prize is an acquisitive prize of $2500, and runner up is $1000. Fingers crossed!
