I struggle sometimes to title my paintings. Do any other artists have the same problem? I might be creative on the canvas, but I don't feel very 'inventive' when it comes to a 'title' for my creations.. Sometimes, something will come to me when I'm painting...but not always. I guess the majority of my paintings are very similar....figures on the beach....figures in the bush....etc....gosh, I'm making my artwork sound boring aren't I?
Anyway....wasn't really happy with the title of my latest artwork, but here it is.....

A very good painting even if you don't like the title.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anythony....
ReplyDeleteI try and think of a title that's original and different....it's hard sometimes. The artwork should 'catch' the viewers attention and I feel it's important for the title to do the same.
Very nice work as always Amanda.
ReplyDeleteI loved exploring the sand “dunes” at the beach as a child. This really captures that feeling.
ReplyDeletePerfect harmony, color and nature.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on this work and for the whole blog, for some time that I do.
Regards
Hi Amanda!... Another lovely "snap" of children... free to roam... explore... discover... imagine... all of the things that "We" as adults leave behind... when we "grow"... Up...Up...Up... and away!
ReplyDeleteHow sad that we surrender that sense of wonder and freedcom to be like grownups!
Perhaps "You" might "shift perspectives"... away from your connection as the creator of the image... and work backwards... to "You" as the child might be thinking in this picture... and others. Just a thought!
My "child" is drawn to your work... understands... and feels safe... no matter the title!
Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
