Who's hiding behind that canvas?!
My demo went very well. There was a good 'turn out' of people, all very interested in how 'I do what I do'. I know I'm silly...but I was pretty nervous at first...it's strange to have an audience watch you paint.
There were a number of people wanting to know if I gave lessons. Everyone was so interested in the process and how I painted....I feel that I now have the confidence to 'give it a go'...teach that is. (I've never taught before.)
Anyway...it was a very rewarding day...I enjoyed myself immensely.
Amanda you did very well giving a demonstration. I imagine I would be very nervous. Everyone looks in awe at you!!All very interested.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carolann...I'm pretty pleased with myself...over the last couple of weeks there has been many 'firsts'. My first solo exhibition...my first time I had to get up and make a speech-in front of a large crowd..and now this demo.
ReplyDeleteI lack a bit of confidence in myself....crazy heh?...but its been good for me. I've now got that 'first' one out of the way...its going to be 'all good' from now on.
I hope you enjoyed your Demonstration. Wish I had been there.
ReplyDeleteEveryone looks very interested in your work.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
Good Morning again Amanda!... I just spent the past half hour perusing this post and the others which were dedicated to describing your preparations for and Opening for "Childscapes"... a title by the way that is as unique as your your paintings!
ReplyDeleteI am a "watcher" as well... and often get caught in the act of doing it... but human behaviour has always been something which has captivated my interest... and perhaps helped me in my long and rewarding stint in the elementary classroom. Perhaps it is that same quality and the subject more often than not is children because their behaviour is unpretentious... honest and adventure-driven... just as your marvellous pictures depict.
Thank you for sharing your work and thoughts! Good luck with sales... family life and mostly...
Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
PS I too... look forward to our "conversations"!
